On May 22, Zhao Sen, Secretary of Committee Shandong Guogang Commercial Management Co., Ltd., Zhang Jian, General Manager of East and North China Regions, and colleagues from the International Trade Department attended the 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. As a leading enterprise in international trade, Shandong Guogang engaged in in-depth discussions with businesses, institutions, and global buyers from Central and Eastern European countries, driving international cooperation to new heights.
Held under the theme “Innovation, Practicality, and Future,” this year’s expo attracted 435 enterprises from 14 Central and Eastern European countries and nine additional nations, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy, expanding the event’s scope from “CEEC” to “CEEC+.” The export consumer goods exhibition area featured 1,028 domestic enterprises across four sectors: premium consumer goods, home and lifestyle products, smart devices, and green products. For the first time, a dedicated “China’s Premium Export Products” zone was also established.
The Shandong Guogang delegation participated in the Consumer Goods Industry Global Sourcing Conference, a key event of the expo aimed at integrating global supply chain resources and focusing on bulk commodities and cross-border trade. Leveraging its extensive expertise in mineral import and export, the company held multiple rounds of negotiations with mineral enterprises and traders from Pakistan, Canada, the U.S., the UK, Russia, and other countries. Beyond mineral cooperation, the delegation explored the CEEC Specialty Products Zone, conducting systematic research on the market potential of consumer goods such as wine, honey, grain and oil products to lay the groundwork for expanding imported goods operations.
The expo not only strengthened the company’s mineral trade ties with Belt and Road Initiative partner countries but also highlighted the vast opportunities for CEEC consumer goods in the Chinese market. Moving forward, Shandong Guogang will leverage its dual-driven model of “international resources + domestic channels” to deepen cross-border collaboration in energy and livelihood sectors, injecting vitality into both domestic and international economic cycles.
