On September 10, the 10th Belt and Road Summit, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), officially commenced at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. At the opening ceremony, HKTDC Chairman Peter Lam Kin-ngok first delivered a welcome speech, expressing Hong Kong’s enthusiasm and determination to promote the Belt and Road Initiative to domestic and international attendees. Subsequently, distinguished guests, including Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu, Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong, Vice Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission Li Zhen, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission Xiao Weiming, and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for Development Sun Chanthol, delivered important speeches. These addresses provided new insights into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative from multiple dimensions, including national strategy, regional collaboration, and international partnerships.
Throughout this event focused on cooperation and practical alignment, the Shandong Guogang team actively engaged with global resources. Chairman Zhao Sen led the team deep into the core exhibition area of the forum, where they conducted targeted exchanges and in-depth negotiations with high-quality suppliers and service providers from multiple countries and regions worldwide. As a vital gateway for China’s opening-up, Hong Kong, leveraging its geographical advantages and international platform characteristics, has made the Belt and Road Summit a benchmark platform for global participation in the Belt and Road Initiative and the promotion of international cooperation. The hosting of this 10th summit not only provided Shandong Guogang with a "bridge" to connect global high-quality resources and align with international high-end cooperation but also precisely opened a "new channel" for the group to deepen industrial synergy and expand market space with Belt and Road partner countries.
